Sunday 6 July, at Bloomfield Road, Blackpool

Doncaster 0 - Salford City Reds 60

The dream of reaching their first major final in 57 years turned into a nightmare for the South Yorkshire side as they were crushed by National League 1 leaders Salford.

Doncaster from National League 2 battled bravely, but the part-timers coached by GB legend Ellery Hanley were no match for the Reds whose precision play proved a real handful for the Don's defence.

Doncaster never let their heads drop despite being put under constant pressure by a Salford outfit who were majestic under the inspirational spell of veteran Kiwi Robbie Paul and man of the match Richard Myler.

Tries: Fitzpatrick, Stapleton, Myler (2), Sibbit, White (3), Sildow, Paul
Goals: Wilshere 10/10
Attendance: 6,328
