Widnes Vikings and Leigh Centurions were awarded engraved momentos in recognition of topping their respective pools in the Northern Rail Cup competition last February.
Receiving the awards from Northern Rail Cup sponsorship manager, Tony Hargrave were Centurions’ company secretary John Massey (pictured left) and Vikings’ chairman Steve O’Connor and his son Stevie.
Commenting on the awards Tony Hargrave said: "Both clubs have led the way in the Northern Rail Cup with Leigh winning the trophy three times and Widnes taking the honours twice. They have been superb ambassadors for the competition."
Leigh Centurions are current holders of the Northern Rail Cup having defeated Halifax 20-16 in Blackpool in July.
