I hope you like the new look and the new features on the website, which make it much easier for you to find information about your train, plan your journey, investigate a career with Northern or discover more about who we are and what we are doing in your area.

The new-look website is one example of the many ways in which Northern is working hard to make a positive difference to the communities that we serve in the north of England.

We have new ticket machines to make it easier to buy tickets on our trains and at stations, we are improving facilities at many stations, and we have introduced newer, bigger trains to provide more seats at busy times on our most popular routes. This is because we are carrying 20% more passengers than when we started operating services in December 2004, which is great news because it means that the north of England economy is doing well.

The challenge now for Northern is to keep delivering a good, punctual service and make further improvements to our trains and stations. We know that we can always improve so if there is anything you think we should be doing please contact us.
