Additional trains between Carlisle and Sellafield from Monday 9 January
30th December 2011
Two additional trains will run (for a trial period) between Carlisle and Sellafield/Barrow. The services will be operated by Direct Rail Services (DRS) to provide additional seats for customers travelling to and from Sellafield. As a result the train that is shown in the current timetable from Whitehaven at 07.28 will start from Sellafield at 07.48. This train will then run as normal to Barrow-in-Furness. There are also some minor changes to the times of two Northern services from Barrow-in-Furness to Carlisle: times are later from Sellafield.
