Station Message
From Monday 11 March 2024, the lift to platforms 4 and 5 at Bolton station is being replaced. During this time, passengers travelling from Bolton towards Preston, Blackpool and Cumbria will need to travel via Salford Crescent for step-free access. Passengers are advised to use the lift to platforms 1 and 3, to travel to Salford Crescent and use the step-free access there to head northbound.
Passengers who need step-free access are advised to allow extra time for their journeys and where possible, book assisted travel in advance with their train operator. Extra staff will be at the station to help passengers safely use the stairs.

Customers wishing to travel on the 05:33 service should use the help point to request alternative transport or alternatively, they can travel on the 06:11 service when staff will be available to assist.
